3 Star ReviewThe Camera for Beginners, Young and Old
Strengths: Low Price for the bundle, Above Average megapixel size, Uses AA batteries.
Weaknesses: Uses AA batteries, Below Average to Average picture quality, Slow shutter lag, Bulky size, Cheap rubber-like feel on the outside.
Summary: I think most everyone agrees that this camera bundle was pretty cheap. You get an SD card, camera case, and desk tripod along with the digital camera for an affordable price. I would only recommend this bundle for beginners, or even people who just want a cheap camera to take pictures but do not care about the picture quality. The megapixel size is good enough, however, the picture quality is just not on par. One example would be taking a picture of my monitor's black screen, the digital picture wouldn't show the black screen as all pure black, but there would be some red and other colors in there. That was only one instance, but if you take pictures of objects with texture such as a teddy bear, the picture quality is not too bad. I bought this camera for my parents who have never owned a digital camera, or used one for long, before. They immediately knew it was a cheapie camera because of the feel of it. The exterior of the camera has a rubber-material feel to it, which I've never felt before in other cameras. It was light (I give credit for that), but almost so light and bulky size that you would think it was a toy camera. The slow shutter lag is very noticeable and despicable. When you fully click the button to take a picture, there is a 2-3 second delay before you see the flash, or the picture being taken. This can confuse people who are used to using faster shutter speed and would think they already took a picture after the button was pressed; or when you want to quickly take a picture of a moving object, it would be a challenge (probably even close to impossible) with the slow shutter speed. One good thing (and also bad) about this camera is that it uses AA batteries. I think this is a good thing for my parents who can conveniently stroll into a store anywhere and buy these commonly found batteries when the ones in the camera runs out. However, AA batteries do not last long (especially if you are taking pictures with flash). Rechargeable batteries are known to last longer and economical, which is proven in my case because I have used the camera to take a number of pictures with flash and it's still running on those batteries.

Strengths: Low price and good quality
Weaknesses: Feels a little flimsy
Summary: Got this camera at the local drugstore. Have taken over 100 pictures and they all turned out great. I have not had anyone prints yet, but I am sure they will be fine.

Easy to use and due to the low price, i can trust it to my kids.

Strengths: this little camera can take video with sound which is always a nice option to have, great gift for the kids, strong flash, crisp pictures, very tough and durable case, cant go wrong for the money.
Weaknesses: drains batteries like a succubus daemon! nothing a cheap battery charger and batteries can't fix. You won't need eneloops or anything crazy like that, any cheapo rechargeable's will do!
Summary: very simple product, perfect for kids or the elderly, want to take pictures slide the wheel to the picture setting press the shutter voila, videos? slide the wheel to the video mode press shutter done.

I'd really recommend getting rechargeable batteries for this camera, it will be better for the environment and your wallet.

Strengths: Inexpensive, high megapixel rating, sleek design, many accessories included, Mac/PC supported, video supported.
Weaknesses: Not a high end camera, video resolution is not great, consumes batteries quickly.
Summary: I purchased this camera for a great price locally, like many of the reviewers here. It makes a great starter camera – inexpensive enough that I don’t have to worry about it, rated at 6MP which is high enough to take good quality photos, and it comes with a 1G SD card, a tabletop tripod, a case, and 2 AA batteries so I don’t have to go out and buy all that extra stuff. Its not the smallest camera but it is small enough to fit in a shirt pocket. It will work with a Mac or a PC, and it supports a basic video mode, which is nice to have for those times when your video camera is not handy. It also supports a 3x optical zoom and 4x digital zoom. The fact that it takes AA batteries is a positive because in a crunch, you can buy fresh batteries at any drugstore or gift shop.

.

On the negative side, its not what I would consider a high end camera. It takes pretty good pictures in daylight, not as good when the flash is required. The maximum video resolution is 320x240, which is OK if you are watching your videos on a PC, but won’t fill a TV screen. It consumes batteries rather quickly, so you will want to bring a spare set with you when taking your camera with you for the day.

.

In summary, its not the best camera ever, but it probably is the best camera you will find at this price, and comparable to cameras that cost 3 to 4 times as much. I would definitely recommend it and would definitely buy another if I needed one.

Strengths: great pictures for the money, more than worth the price for all you get in the package!
Weaknesses: Battery life could be better, but you can buy the rechargeable ones and USB charge them.
Summary: Quite surprised at the quality photos with this "budget" setup. Comes with magnetic case, 1GB card, and a Tripod! The overall package was WELL worth the $28 i paid. It was $129 marked to $49 ($53 w/tax) then had a $20 mail in rebate and another $5 one! Total price $28 bones!!

If you can find this on clearance, grab it ASAP!

3 Star ReviewNot bad, not great
Strengths: comes with a sd card and extras, price, easy to use
Weaknesses: thicker than some of the other cameras, low light photos not great
Summary: I picked this up for $30 after rebates and it is just what I needed for now. It will be great for a spare camera, something for my daughter to learn with, and if it gets lost or stolen, I'm not out a lot of money. As for as the battery life, it does suck up them pretty fast. But if you use a decent rechargable it will last a little longer. Over all, for what I paid, this little camera is worth it.

3 Star ReviewInexpensive camera - Get what you pay for
Strengths: Cheap cost, bundle included nice extras (telescoping mini tripod, case, batteries, 1GB SD card), easy to use, uses AA batteries
Weaknesses: Picture quality so-so (esp macro shots), battery drain
Summary: In summary, this is a good digital camera for the price (I purchased for less than fifty dollars) that you could give to a child or keep in the car for basic everyday use, but probably would recommend a better camera for a main camera. That being said, it did a decent job when lighting was ok, or not taking close-up shots (macro) where the quality of the pictures was pretty good. For very low light shots, the camera has trouble with pictures of items or people that aren't that close to the camera, like across a room, and the pictures were more grainy. The macro shots were also not the best, but I am talking very close up shots of things such as a coin or stamp. Overall, it is worth what I paid, but I intend to use it as a spare emergency camera anyway so it is good enough for me. If looking for a "main" camera for important pictures, there are many cameras that are around the $100 price point or slightly more that would be a better option in my opinion. The accesories for this camera would also work with other cameras, as the tripod is a universal screw-on connection and the 1GB SD card, AA batteries, and case would also work for other cameras. The accessories alone might make this more attractive to someone considering it, but for me they were just bonus.

2 Star ReviewNot so good camera
Strengths: inexpensive, bundle with cover, SD card, tripod
Weaknesses: picture quality, too much shutter lag
Summary: Wanted a decent point-and-shoot digital camera. Good thing is its inexpensive and comes with all the accessories needed. Picture quality is not so good compared to other digital cameras. Too much shutter lag is very annoying and as I can't seem to get decent shot of any moment :(

3 Star ReviewAffordable and Acceptable for Amateurs
Strengths: Great price; complete with everything to get started
Weaknesses: Battery-hog; below average to average picture quality
Summary: 2008-03-24 17:41:18 Considering the price I paid for the camera bundle, it is a big bang for the buck! It has all the standard features you would want in a "point and shoot" camera, including macro. It comes with everything you need to get started: camera, memory card (1 GB), tripod, case, and batteries. This Polaroid takes decent pictures, though you would have to be in the light with a real steady hand. The other con is the horrid battery life. I went through the included AA's in a matter of days, and I did not even fill up the memory card. In summary, this bundle is great for the kids or anyone who wants to get into digital photography. I would highly recommend that you invest in some rechargeable batteries though.

2 Star ReviewPolaroid i633 digital camera
Strengths: low cost, 6 megapixels
Weaknesses: picture quality, high battery drain, useless extras with the package except the SD card
Summary: I will begin by saying that this camera is good for a unit thrown in the trunk of your car for that occasion when you forget your "real" camera. This is a cheap camera that justifies- you got what you paid for. The picture quality is so-so. There is lag between trigger and the shutter release. I have heard that it is a battery hog but haven't verified yet since I am running on Eneloop rechargeables.

As someone else said, daylight pictures are still OK but the night pictures are a disaster waiting to happen.

Sorry, I don't have much to say good about this camera.

Strengths: Picture quality Features Cost-Benefit
Weaknesses: Battery life
Summary: It's inexpensive and the best thing.

Easy to use and it was very easy to download my pics to my computer. The memory card is big. It takes a while to take pictures though.

The picture quality is okay in the light, but when you have to start using it in the dark, you can't see anything and it's all a white blurr.

The battery life is awful. Recharable are best.

3 Star ReviewIt's OK for the price
Strengths: cheap price
Weaknesses: size is a little big & uses AA batteries
Summary: I can not complain about the price and this is a nice starter package for the beginner or novice digital camera person. I will probably just keep this in my car so that I have a cheap camera to take with me and not worry about banging it up.
