Strengths: Sounds good, 7 speakers, High Wattage capacity, Subwoofer is large!
Weaknesses: Front speakers are large, and don't have mounting brackets
Summary: Overall this is a nice set. Comes with all the speakers you need (at least for now :) ). Comes with speaker cables, but they might be a bit short for some setups, and are too thin. I used larger guage cable to minimize power loss.

Note the front speakers (L, R, and center) are quite large, larger than you might think from looking at pictures online. If space is limited, check the specs for dimensions before you buy. Also, while the side and rear speakers have a mounting bracket so you can mount the speakers on a screw or nail in the wall, the front speakers do NOT. So you will either have to attach a mounting brackets, or use a wall shelf or speaker stands to set the speakers up on.

The subwoofer is good at switching off automatically when audio is turned down. However, when i switch off the receiver, the subwoofer comes back on and stays on, with a noticeable humming sound. I suspect this is due to the cable I am using, which I plan to replace in the near future. My old subwoofer has dual RCA channels, so I am using one of the connectors to power this subwoofer, with the other one left loose, which is probably introducing some signal noise that is keeping the subwoofer on. Hopefully replacing the cable with a single channel will fix it, but there is a chance that the switching circuitry has issues, so watch out for that.

Other than that, this should be a good setup for most folks. Sure you can pay more and get something fancier, but this set it does the job well enough for me.

Strengths: Great price and good sound
Weaknesses: crap wire in box for price
Summary: The size of the speakers amazed me because I had a sony 5.1 before and the speakers were about the size of my hand. I bought them trough Amazon.com and have been very pleased with my purchase. My only question is what the speakers above these sound like.
