Strengths: Excellent color, lots of inputs, very easy to setup, fairly quiet.
Weaknesses: Big unit, but you won\\\'t be moving it around all the time anyway. Horizontal and vertical adjustments not motorized.
Summary: I owned the Panasonic PT-AE1000U before for about a year and just recently upgraded to this new model. Both units are about the same in size and weight. This new model seems to have a sharper image and the brightness is improved a little over the old model. I think this projector is the best bang for the buck right now.

Strengths: Incredible picture, plethora of menu customization, great remote.
Weaknesses: A bit large and bulky, produces roughly the same amount of heat as my oven, manual lens cap.
Summary: I've been using this projector for about a month, and am still amazed by it... The 1080p resolution, very fast response time, and beautiful brightness/contrast combination make it look great, even when ambient light is present in fair amounts. And it's teh first LCD projector I've used that is really successful in keeping the picture extremely sharp without displaying a "screen door" effect. (My favorite "show-off" piece is to have a quite high-end computer play a graphics-cranked-all-the-way-up version of UT3 in 1080p and enjoy watching people's reactions).

I only have two qualms: first, this projector throws off more heat than any other home theater projector I've ever owned/used/seen. Even in a Cleveland winter, using your furnace seems almost to be excessive if this thing is running. It also vents this heat directly towards the front of the unit, which can be a touch inconvenient depending on your mounting/setup preferences.

The second drawback is that the lenscap is manual. Given the setup of this projector, I can see why a mechanically operated cover coouldn't slide easily directly to teh left or right, but at this price point the fine folks at Panasonic should have found a way to implement an automatic cap... It's really incongruous given how extensive teh rest of teh product's feature set is.

Overall, though, the little quibbles don't detract that this is a projector that will make you (and your friends and family) smile when you pull the lens cap off and display a 1080p signal through it. If your home theater budget allows for this PAnny's price tag, it's a great piecce of equipment to have.

Strengths: Resolution, Brightness, Multiple HDMI inputs.
Weaknesses: Slightly bulkier
Summary: This is my first 1920x1080P projector. I have connected this to multiple HDMI sources including a media center computer, having 3 HDMI inputs is a plus. The resolution as well as contrast ratio are both excellent. This has 1500 ANSI lumens, which are amongst the highest. The overall size is bulkier. But I believe this projector to be the best value for the buck.

Strengths: high-def, high contrast and vivid color
Weaknesses: a bit bulky, and no keynote adjustment for vertical shift
Summary: Bouth this projector to replace my old inFocus X1, and I love the experience it brings to me.

The brightness is good, the contrast makes a whole lot of difference, and more important, since I like photographers, so the accurate color on this projector makes it the only one I've used that I'd like to watch pictures on, all others just don't get the right color.

Strengths: 1080P
Weaknesses: It is huge and heavy
Summary: This is the best 1080P Home Theater Projector without a doubt. The 3LCD technology gives vibrant and richer color in comparison to DLP in my opinion. For a 1080P projector, 1500 lumens is so much nicer in comparison to other 1080P projectors that have 1000 lumens or less. The only thing is that this projector is huge. It is bigger than it looks in pictures. Recommended for all home theater enthusiasts.
