Strengths: Very fast modem, clear instructions, affordable price.

Weaknesses: No important weaknesses

Summary: This is a good modem if you are looking to upgrade. The modem installed easily and instructions were clear. The dial-up times are much faster and also an increase in speed with the V.92 protocol.

I bought a Pine Conexant modem from PC Connection ...

Strengths: Low price, V.92 Ready,

Weaknesses: It's still dial-up.

Summary: I bought a Pine Conexant modem from PC Connection and it works great. It was the cheapest v.92 modem I found and works really well. The only drawback is that it is still a dial-up connection and won't reach high speeds like a cable modem. If you're going to use a dial-up modem this is a good one to purchase.
