Strengths: Excellent sound. Strong bass with no distortion. Attractive design. Can plug in more than one component.
Weaknesses: No tone control on wired remote.
Summary: These speakers are awesome, especially for a small room. They handle all type of music and gaming with excellent results. The power shakes the room. I searched high and low and, simply put, you cannot do any better than these 621s for the money. I have had them for a year and they perform like they did right out of the box.

 Purchased a set and had to return them to the stor ... Strengths: Great bass and terrific sound.
Weaknesses: They won't seem to work past 3 months at a stretch. I'm tired of sending them back to Altec Lansing to get them fixed.
Summary: Purchased a set and had to return them to the store because they didn't work right out of the box. The new set worked fine. I loved these speakers. The amp blew out roughly two months after owning them. I sent them to Altec Lansing and they gave me a refurbished set. These lasted about three months when the amp blew out on that set. I returned it to Altec Lansing and they sent me another set. These lasted almost three months before the volume control quit working and the sub-woofer would not make a sound. Altec Lansing said I could return them, but if I do, the shipping costs alone will be more than I paid for the speakers to begin with. I really liked these speakers when they worked, but they were just not dependable in the long run.

Strengths: plenty of power,and crisp clean sound
Weaknesses: none that I can think of right now
Summary: These speakers pack a powerful punch that will take you on an audio experiance you will not soon forget.The deep base,crisp highs and great mids make this a very good choice for any class of music listener's!

Strengths: Solid bass, excellent overall sound;
Weaknesses: none really, unless you want dolby 5.1
Summary: This review is coming from a music freak, with $15k of home equipment, including an 18" velodyne sub; If you want a set of stereo speakers w sub (and dont want 5.1 speakers), this is a must get; I also have the logitech 680's at home (5.1 speakers), and both rock; It would cost you $400 at least to get this sound from a "stereo"; for around $100 unbeatable value;

Strengths: CLARITY BASS POWER / LOOKS and design is SHARP FRESH >>makes it look even more powerful than it is...
Weaknesses: ITS TOO POWERFUL...its on the borderline of being a POWER AMP FOR HOME THEATER...no earphone connection (playing Counter strike at night)cant increase volume not even half way.TOO POWERFUL/WORTH IT!
Summary: 2003-04-14 16:19:10 $70 bucks shipping included shipping EBAY (shipping $26 >it was a BIG HEAVY BOX)...it was a steal...it was rated as GOOD with visible wear...not like OPEN like new...when it came I saw that it was MINTY FRESH..."visible wears" ---found micro wears...but it was so NEGLIGIBLE...>>>But asides from that/Everything was so perfect.The remote is great (not wireless/its OK;) If your going to buy something without the fancy shmancy and PLAIN BLACK AND WHITE KICK YOU IN THE BUTT POWERFUL AND CLEAR...this is it...no BS...and you will be happy how the money and the quality are inversely proportional...cant GO WRONG!!!Im happy! BETTER THAN KLIPSCH...I tested it in best buy...it was underpowered...

Strengths: THIS SYSYTEM IS OFF THE HOOK. GREAT BASS AND SOUND.
Weaknesses: I WOULD HAVE TO SAY ITS SO LOUD MY NEIGHBORS ALREADY COMPLAINED.LOL NO WEAKNESS AT ALL
Summary: This Altec Lansing 621LA System is off the hook. everyone should have one. it's worth the money. look around you can get it for under $100 dollars.Forget bose this is the system for the year 2002 and beyond. it's a must have for any loud music freak like me. holla back

Strengths: Great sounds: try them with the Moody Blues "In Search of the Lost Chord" with its many instruments--anything less than these speakers ought to be outlawed!
Weaknesses: Plastic bags were fiendishly taped to the electrical cords--had to use a knife to carefully cut them loose--w/o cutting the cords.
Summary: Excellent sounds at a very affordable price ($103+shipping). 10 yrs ago you would have had to pay $10,000 for this quality. Combined with my excellent sound card, Audigy eX, and I am now ready to start making my own sounds--even music.

Strengths: Quality of sound
Weaknesses: Don't be scared off by the price, no flaws noted.
Summary: Other reviews noted minnor flaws, I"ve found none. No stated weaknesses. Shop around, at first prices range from $125-175. Got these $110 no shipping costs. You can crank these w/o distortion. The bass on the sub is adjustable. Stay away from the 2100 and 4100 series. For the price try these. A good sound card is suggested. Lovin' life w/ my new pc stereo system.

Summary: I compared these speakers head to head with the Klipsch ProMedia 4.1 Black THX Multimedia Speaker System, and the Altec 621s spanked the Klipsch. These are the speakers, and a great investment.
