ddeitch from GA Member Since: Feb 2005 View Member's: Reviews Product Experience: 4 Days	Calalry CAXE3701T0 1TB External Hard Drive (USB 2.0/eSATA 300/2700rpm) Strengths: This drive operates great, 931GB of storage space, quiet as a mouse, plug and play. I had more trouble modifying the server's BIOS to enable the external eSATA port than actually using the drive. Weaknesses: I would have preferred to have longer USB or eSATA cables as I keep my servers on the floor and external drives on a shelf above next to my routers, switches and modems. Summary: In researching this item on the internet, I saw some listings that suggested a 5400rpm speed, but this is not the case. as hoping, but not really expecting, I could connect this drive to two different computers, one via the eSATA connection and the other via USB 2.0. Weaknesses: Not really good for laptops as it's a bit too bulky. Requires AC power adapter. Summary: This is the largest capacity hard drive you can buy at 1TB. It stores one trillion bytes or 931GB in binary. It's a single 3.5" hard drive. If you need more storage for your desktop PC this would be a good drive to buy for around $229. Many other 1TB external drive kits include two 500GB drives making the external drive very heavy. It also includes a PC to SATA adapter.
