Strengths: Holds a lot! Easy to use and clean.
Weaknesses: Unfortunately, can't use my discs from my old Cuisinart.
Summary: I got this model to replace my old Cuisinart. I think my other model was a Pro 8?? I had had it for over 10 years (probably more like 15!) and used it all the time, but wanted something bigger. I tend to use cheese and onions a lot in recipes and make big batches of things (like spaghetti sauce & chili), so I was going for volume with this model. I really like that it does slice and dice a LOT of food. Also, I find that compared to my other model, it's easier to use, especially lining up the bowl to click on and off...and use of the "pusher".....plus the "pusher" is in the front of the unit. (In my old one, it was in the back.) All in all, I have had this unit for over a month now and have not had any problems. I am hopeful that I will get the use and wear out of it that I had with my old Cuisinart. The only down side for me is that I had purchased additional discs with my other unit and they are NOT compatible with this unit.
