Strengths: Stay on your head when active. Comfortable & lightweight
Weaknesses: Pretty rotten sound. Spectacle wearers note the design
Summary: Not very impressed with these at all.

They sound like I bought them for $1 in a bargain store.

On a positive note, they are comfortable and stay on your head even when exercising vigorously.

I'm unconvinced about their robustness, I can just see the over-ear loop breaking or bending & becoming uncomfortable. Need to be carried about with special care when not in use. Time will tell.

Sound: Shut-in and boxy & boomy. Mid-range (male singing range) very nasal. Treble distant, unclear & recessed. Very little bass and what there is has one-note quality to it. They don't sound like they were made by Sony.

By comparison the MDR-023 headphone (over the head design) come with a basic Sony Tape Walkman for almost the same price and are much more open, more lucid treble and more realistic bass. They sound musical where these don't... and come with a free walkman!

These are ok for listening to radio talk shows, but I don't think much of them for music.

Below the quality I would expect from Sony.... and here in the UK they aren't particularly cheap either. Between $15 - $30 depending where you shop.

The design is comfortable and might prove durable, too early to say, but the transducer (the speaker) is just not good enough, and especially for the price. Maybe for $7 - $8, that's all.

Strengths: Decent set of headphones for a low price. It is a great value. They are sturdy and good for working out.
Weaknesses: Over time you will need a replacement since the cord gets overused.
Summary: The headphones are very durable when you use them daily. They are good for working out, traveling, and can take a good amount of abuse. They are not meant to be a lifetime set of headphones, since they will need to be replaced if used daily. Overall, a great value for the price.

Strengths: Nice fit, very comfortable, even over long, long, periods of time.
Weaknesses: sound quality is not superb.
Summary: These headphones are great. i have had them for over 3 years, and they have done me well. the cord has a slider on it to keep the cord untangled when not in use, and it is flexible. only downside: my sister, with small ears, cannot wear them. they simply do not fit in smaller ears.

Strengths: They look nice, Very comfortable
Weaknesses: repulsive sound, not even worth the small amount of money
Summary: These headphones sound completely awful. They look nice and I admit sometimes that's all I care about. But you don't want to buy these for sound quality. These aren't neccesarily a bad choice though in general. These 'phones are perfect for anyone who doesn't need super sound quality or doesn't mind buying a new pair whenever they break or someone who wants to look good wearing headphones. There ARE better quality earbuds for the same price, but are not as comfy or cool looking.
