Strengths: Stay on your head when active.
Comfortable & lightweight
Weaknesses: Pretty rotten sound. Spectacle wearers note the design
Summary: Not very impressed with these at all. They sound like I bought them for $1 in a bargain store. On a positive note, they are comfortable and stay on your head even when exercising vigorously. I'm unconvinced about their robustness, I can just see the over-ear loop breaking or bending & becoming uncomfortable. Need to be carried about with special care when not in use. Time will tell. Sound: Shut-in and boxy & boomy. Mid-range (male singing range) very nasal. Treble distant, unclear & recessed. Very little bass and what there is has one-note quality to it. They don't sound like they were made by Sony. By comparison the MDR-023 headphone (over the head design) come with a basic Sony Tape Walkman for almost the same price and are much more open, more lucid treble and more realistic bass. They sound musical where these don't... and come with a free walkman! These are ok for listening to radio talk shows, but I don't think much of them for music. Below the quality I would expect from Sony.... and here in the UK they aren't particularly cheap either. Between $15 - $30 depending where you shop. The design is comfortable and might prove durable, too early to say, but the transducer (the speaker) is just not good enough, and especially for the price. Maybe for $7 - $8, that's all.
