Strengths: Overall image quality, lens, built-in 1.5MP digital camera, built-in photo flash, big LCD, flawless Firewire operation
Weaknesses: Low light mode could be better. Wide angle only 42mm (35mm equiv)
Summary: This is a one good camcorder. Superb image and picture quality. You may make very good 4x6 prints from 1.5MP built-in digital camera. PC connectivity works great with any firewire card I tried (both PCI and PC-Card). In low light the image quality is not perfect but much better than other, lower-res Sony camcorders. If you really want wideangle buy Sony wide converter -- it's good and cheap. The drawback is that it obscures built-in flash.
