Strengths: Amazing sound for a reasonably priced setup. It may be 1/3rd the price of the higher end systems but its at least 1/2 the quality of sound or better.
Weaknesses: You cant shake the neighbors house. Cords could be a little longer.
Summary: 2005-05-31 08:29:00 I really love this speaker set. Its good looking, not too expensive, and has awesome sound for its price. I would suggest it to anyone other than true audiophiles or super tech gamers. The price is outstanding for the quality of sound you get. Easily half the quality of speaker sets 3 and 4 times the price. Ive been spoiled by these speakers, you should let yourself be spoiled as well.

Strengths: Great sound for a budget price.
Weaknesses: Music could be better. Front speaker cords are a little short.
Summary: Did lots of research looking for a good set of budget 5.1 speakers and these got consistently good reviews. They can be found for under $50 on sale at many online sites. They have great bass and good overall quality for movies and games.

My only minor complaint is that music sounded a little "muddy". Quality is good, but if you are an audiophile or mostly listen to music, you should probably invest in a better 5.1 set for more money or a good quality 2.1 set for around the same money. The Logitech Z-5300 and Z-5500 5.1 sets are both excellent THX quality speakers which will sound better but will cost 3 to 5 times as much as these.

Also, the front speaker cords may be shorter than you need to be properly spaced (only around 6 ft each). The rear cords are closer to 15 ft, which should be plenty for most people. Overall, I feel these are great speakers for the price and would highly recommend for those on a tight budget looking for big sound.

Strengths: Nice design, great sound quality, easy instalation
Weaknesses: none
Summary: I bought these to go with my new media center PC so that I could watch TV and movies on my computer with surround sound. These speakers work great!!!! The sound quality is excellent. They only took 5 minutes to setup and look great in my room as well. If your looking for great sounding speakers at a low price, this is your best bet!

Strengths: Excellent surround sound for gaming.
Weaknesses: When cranking music, you have to adjust the sub down.
Summary: Excellent bang for the buck. Paid $30 after rebates. I would definitely reccommend this system to anyone on a budget. For reference I am using this with a SB Audigy2 Value card.

Strengths: 5.1 surround sound with 140 watts of peak power. The speaker system blows away any competition in its price range. I had the X-230 and when I upgraded, I couldn't believe what I was missing out.
Weaknesses: NONE.
Summary: The best speaker system for what you are paying. I suggest a good sound card for maximum performance. If not, a Sound Blaster Live 24Bit should give you more than enough for your entertainment. You won't be disappointed!

Strengths: Sound clarity, Speaker Size, Space Consumption, Price, Easy Installation(Effortless almost)
Weaknesses: Front Wiring( Not exactly a weakness, but this limits how far you can place your right speaker, since it has the connectors for your soundcard)
Summary: I was looking for a set of decent speakers to accompany my new computer, so I stumbled across these. I was a little skeptical at first, since they were only 50 dollars, but they were more than I bargained for.

The installation for these speakers was a breeze, just match all the color-plugs with their color on the subwoofer and you're done. These speakers are great for listening to music and especially playing games, defintely more practical than my other 7.1 speakers.

GREAT Speakers...Looking for a cheap solution that performs? Get these bad boys!

Strengths: Good sound quality and range. These speakers are a very good value for the money.
Weaknesses: Only 140 watts maximum output. The sub is good, but not as strong as more expensive systems. It would be nice (but expensive) if it was wireless. Some of the wries ar a little short.
Summary: This is a great deal if you want 5.1 sound but don't want don't want to spend a lot of money. For a normal user these speakers are perfect and make a great addition to one's computer system without making a dent in the wallet.

Strengths: Elegant design, very goog sound quality with competitive price level
Weaknesses: You got to have a 5.1 cound card to have the best best sound quality.
Summary: I bought this Speaker System before I found out my dell computer only has a 4.1 sound card. So I bought a creative 5.1 sound card. It turns out that the Logitech X-530 with the creative 5.1 sound card together produce a very good sound quality. Also the price of this produce is very competitive. So if you want to spend not too much money but have a good sound quality, Logitech X-530 is a one of the best choice.

Strengths: Frequency Directed Dual Drivers, amazing clarity, wall mountable, and the price!
Weaknesses: Short cords for the rear satelittes
Summary: These speakers are absolutely amazing! The price you pay is well worth the money! I am a huge techy, and have experience with a lot of systems and set ups. My friends ask for advice about electronics, and when they ask for speakers I recommend these!

They are great especially if you have a sweet sound card. I set mine up in my dorm room around my TV, so my friends and I enjoy movies in 5.1. I also had them set up around my computer and gaming was great!

These bad boys are also wallmountable, which makes placement extra easy. The cords for the rears were a little short, but I fixed that with wire extensions (plugs like the RCA inputs on a TV).

There is a headphone jack, alone with the volume and power switches on the front right speaker. It's really convient if you're forced into using headphones (roommate). Just plug into the jack and you're ready to roll. You don't have to power the unit to use the jack, unlike many Creative models, which is a plus.

Strengths: Excellent value. Great Sound. Very Easy setup. They have a headphone jack.
Weaknesses: Would like a little more power, but this is a minor issue.
Summary: These speakers are a great buy and sound great. I use them primarily for music and the music sounds excellent. They're very easy to setup and have a convenient headphone jack. I highly recommend them to anyone who plays a lot of music on their PC. I don't play games, so I can't speak from that end.

Strengths: Great price ($42), Logitech's high quality
Weaknesses: Subwoofer distorts when sub volume is high
Summary: I received these speakers from Buy.com for $42 and at that price they are definitely worth it. The audio quality is very good compared to my much older 2.1 Logitech speakers. Listening to the same music I can hear a noticeable difference. The surround sound works as it should. The subwoofer, when I play a bass intensive songs and when the sub volume is over half-way up, it does sound like the sub cannot handle it. However, I just wanted bass that could be felt and not rattle the windows, and this speaker set delivers just that. If you find this set for a low enough price, I would highly reccommend grabbing it.

Strengths: Excellent bass, quality and design. Great price for 5.1
Weaknesses: Need to adjust the sound quality to meet standards
Summary: This is a great 5.1 Speaker with a nice design. The price is affordable. The Logitech sound quality is getting better as new models come out. The only problem is that you have to adjust the bass level and sound level to the right volume the max performance. It is a affordable and recommended to others.

Strengths: Good sound for the price. Would buy again.
Weaknesses: Have to do a little tweaking to the sound if you want superb sounds. Also the front two cables are a little short, so it takes a little bit to setup to get everything right.
Summary: For the overall price I paid, it was a good deal. The whole reason I bought the set was to play online video games, which it excels at over my previous 2.1 set. As stated previously, there's a lot of bass and it helps to have a good sound card like an Audigy where you can tweak the sounds, but once set, sound good.

Strengths: I do recommend this model to others, it has good quality and you will really enjoy your music a lot more.
Weaknesses: The wires for the speakers to connect to the base and to place at the place you desire to are too short. If the wires are longer then everything is perfect!
Summary: These speakers are easy to use and operate.

The quality of the speakers are good for the price that I purchased. I am happy with the speakers. The only things were

the wires were a little too short. If the speakers come with remote control then that really is a bonus.
