Summary: I just bought this receiver from Amazon for $600. It is the same as the 2808CI model by Denon except for the number of zones it can do. I replaced my Onkyo with this Denon and still use the same Infinity Ceramic Metal Matrix speakers. The speakers sound totally perfect now; there is a lot of volume, clarity, bass and depth of sound with the Denon compared to my Onkyo. I'm extremely happy with this upgrade. Grab your AVR-988 for $600 because the next model is about to come out and it is twice the price for just two more HDMI inputs. Get yourself the AVR-988 and you can't go wrong.
