Strengths: Fast and inexpensive Weaknesses: Noisy Summary: This is my first owning a Lite-On product. I read a lot of reviews about their burners and almost every single one says their burners are good and inexpensive. The other reason I chose this one because it is a retail box and it comes with the Nero 6 burning software as well. Sometimes, the OEM ones don't come with software. Strengths: Great media compatibility, fastest speed, high burn quality Weaknesses: Somewhat loud, drive tray a little wobbly Summary: I purchased two of these LiteOn CD-RWs because I read review after review on which CD-RW would provide the best cost to performance ratio. It performs as good as any other drive for most standard purposes. There are better models from Plextor but they will cost you twice as much and isn't really worth it if you are just a standard user. If you just need a good reader and to make a few burns every once in a while then this one is it. I haven't had any problems with whatsoever yet other than it being somewhat louder than my previous burner. The burn times and burn quality are excellent and I highly recommend this burner to anyone looking to get a great burner at the lowest price. 100% of People (2/2) found this review helpful. Weaknesses: None so far. Summary: Great CD writer at a great price. Just needed a CD ROM for my kid's computer but for a few dollars more got this CD-RW drive. We have burned over 20 CDs with this drive so far and have had no coasters. Comes with Nero which is probably alone worth as much as I paid for the drive. Completely satisfied.
