Strengths: Small and nice design, relatively good sound performance, crisp display
Weaknesses: Battery management with video play, quite sensitive touch pad
Summary: I've used an MP3 player from Iriver for about five years but one day I couldn't hear anything from its left channel any more so I came to buy this T10 from Samsung. When it comes to sound quality, I've always thought Iriver or Cowon is much better than Samsung personally. But I could read some users' review saying that new Samsung is different from old Samsung, so I decided to give it a try. Good things: 1. sleek design with nice LCD display 2. Sound quality is above average even though sometimes it sounds unrealistic due to the heavy distortion of sound engine. 3. Satisfactory video performance in its resolution and clarity 4. It has everything - audio/video, FM radio, Bluetooth connectivity and voice recorder! (game is a plus) But everything has bad things together: 1. Touch pad looks nice because it virtually disappears when not in use. But because it's simply a flat surface, you SHOULD see it always when you need to volume up and down or skip forward/backward. 2. Power/hold switch is little bit difficult to use if you use protective silicon skin. (But it might depend on the skin design) I don't use hold switch that much, but if you want to use it because of the high sensitivity of touch pad, this can be a big problem. 3. Video playing time is not that long compared to a new SONY MP3 player. 4. Internal battery. some people do prefer AAA battery 5. When you switch FM stations, you can hear some static noise for the first 1-2 seconds. 6. You need to convert video format using enclosed software. But it's not that time consuming. 7. Not that many accessories available like Ipod. Overall, I'm quite satisfied with T10 from Samsung because of its small size and above average sound quality and very nice video playing performance. Earphone that came with T10 was also not that bad even though I usually use my Sennheiser PXC250 earphone instead except when I work out. If you think Ipod is too expensive and too popular, T10 or later model is the one that you need to consider.
