Strengths: compact, easy to use, easy editing for non computer users (unit controls your vcr), takes great pictures day and night, long battery life, all around great cammera.
Weaknesses: plastic covers over connection ports don't look like they will last as long as the cammera, doesn't come with neck strap.
Summary: not a USA model so Sony doesn't want to offer suport so you may want to check into this before you buy, the USA model is the dcr-pc120
