2 Star ReviewEuro Pro Triple Scoop Ice Cream Maker
Strengths: Cheap, attractive looking
Weaknesses: Does not work very well ..
Summary: I tried a few times to make ice cream with this machine, either there is some trick that not listed in the manual to make it work or not. But I never could succesfully make "ice cream" with this machine. It's more like a thick milkshake than ice cream. The good thing is I paid next to nothing for this machine on Amazon. So no big loss there. I don't recommend buying this machine.

3 Star ReviewEPKP300H Ice Cream Maker
Strengths: Simple to work with
Weaknesses: Results of ice cream not as smooth
Summary: The process is kind of weired. You have to freeze the canister, suggested to be wrapped in plastic bag, and freeze the canister overnight or at least 24 hours prior. Then you add the ingredients to start the process. Result of the product is more of milk shake. Maybe you can then freeze it so it can become more iced up. I have never owned any other ice cream maker, but I guess it's ok for a cold shake.

2 Star ReviewUnique design
Strengths: Easy to use and clean. Comes with 20 or so recipes.
Weaknesses: 24 Oz. max capacity. Canisters must be frozen for 24 hours before use. May have a hard time getting ice cream to freeze. Not dishwasher safe.
Summary: To begin, 2 of the 3 canisters came with a strange black spot on the lid that I attribute to the manufacturing process. It was flaky & scraped off.

I tried one batch of frozen yogurt on this and it did not freeze. The product uses a strange method for freezing. It doesn't actually freeze the ice cream. You freeze the canisters and stick the ice cream batter in. You put the canisters on the machine and 20-30 minutes later you're supposed to have frozen ice cream. I'm not sure if this is standard but it seems like a risky way to make ice cream. I got a pretty good milkshake.
