3 Star Reviewgood performance for a large usb drive
Strengths: performance is ok, not great ready boost compatible
Weaknesses: no u3 cover easly slides off and can get misplaced larger than other micro usb drives
Summary: Ready boost testing showed that the random read speed is 5396 KB/sec. The sequential write speed is 2137 KB/sec.

This is not great, but just ok.

The drive is large and was cheap at $45 on sale.

The cap can get misplaced and the drive itself is a little bit larger than I would have liked.

There is no U3 support.

Windows does not report the name (unlike other drives where it reports the manufacturer) - it shows up as a USB DISK 2.0.

Should work well for file transfers etc..

Strengths: Great drive capacity for the price
Weaknesses: Rather large compared to a Cruzer
Summary: This drive after rebates was a great deal. The large 8GB capacity allows me to carry a good deal of media with me as I travel. Even though many complain of the "cap" issue I have an older 2GB model and have yet to lose the cap and it was purchased way back in 2005 for twice as much as this 8GB model. So I highly recommend this drive based on the price/value scale.

Strengths: low price; no extra software to goof up the drive - just a bare drive.
Weaknesses: relatively long footprint, large cap
Summary: This is a good drive for basic work. However, be appraised that your read/write speed may be less than posted. This drive was advertised with a speed of Speed : 18.7 MB/sec read 10.4 MB/sec write. However, it took me 2 min 30 sec to write a 1 gig (1048 MB) file making my write speed of 6.93 meg/sec. This was using a USB 2.0 cable. Otherwi

3 Star ReviewAverage Product
Strengths: Large capacity and good compatibility
Weaknesses: Slow speed and lose cap
Summary: This drive works under Windows XP and Linux environments. I have not encountered any problem with data corruption on this drive. It however takes quite a while to copy a large amount of data to and from the PC. It is slow compared to my other thumb drives. Its cap does not fit the drive securely and gets lost easily. Overall, an OK product if budget is concerned.
