Weaknesses: Polarity wrong on AC and Auto adapter connectors, which resulted in destruction of AC adapter when it was used.
Also, installation of the replacement battery cover is difficult.
Summary: Model TCC250H for Handspring/Visor-has the polarity reversed on some number of the connectors on BOTH the AC adapter and the Auto adapter. When I plugged the AC adapter connector onto the properly fitted (large key slot to large key pin) panel on the back of my Handspring, the AC adapter shorted out. It was permanently damaged. Using a voltmeter I verified the terminals of the connectors on the outside of the Handspring case are the opposite polarity of the terminals in the connectors of the Auto adapter. I examined the wires of the AC adapter in the clear plastic connector and the red wire (measured positive in the Auto adapter) was connected to the terminal that mates with the NEGATIVE side of the batteries in my Handspring...not desirable: switched. This might be a problem for only a small quantity of production and may affect only Handspring/Visor units. I got 2 units from one Fry's. Both were "bad". Other Fry's, & other retailers might not be affected. I switched the terminals in the remaining working adapters (the plastic connector opens up), and all works fine. Both are an easy fix if needed. It isn't worth the $6 S&H and "what if it doesn't come back" issue to me to try to get the AC adapter warranty replaced. The battery cover is difficult to install because the metal tangs that insert between the ends of the batteries and the power connectors of the Handspring unit don't slip in very easily. A flush cover fit is hard to accomplish.
