Strengths: Loaded with features. Great speaker phone on handset. Great battery life.
Weaknesses: Sound quality especially on answering machine could be better.
Summary: I've read many reviews before buying this one. I thought basically only had two choices if I wanted to get a phone system which enables intercom. This one or the Panasonic. I decided on this one because other reviewers weren't too thrilled with the battery life of the Panasonic. This one allows upto 4 handsets and you can access the ansering machine from any handset. I have 2 handsets so far and am pleased with the phones. My wife who's not technical at all thinks it's too complicated and is working through the manual to figure out all features. I can pretty much figure out what I want the phone to do, but if not, the manual is pretty straight forward. Best feature that I like by far is the handset speaker phone. Press the speaker phone button and talk hands free. The battery life is great too although I don't like to talk on the phone for more than 10 minutes at a time, my wife can be on it for an hour. Battery life indicator tells you how much battery life is left before you need to recharge. The overall sound quality is fair. This phone replaces my old Panasonic 900Mhz. The Panasonic had near corded phone quality. This Siemens does not. The answering machine sound quality is even worse, but who cares as long as you can hear the message. It's digital so no tapes to mess with. Overall, I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10. If the Panasonic didn't have battery problems, I would have gotten the Panasonic. Lots of features like a cell phone.
