Strengths: Excellent Video with cable box,Good audio, Setup is Simple, Universal Remote is simple to operate, Superb picture with both Svideo and Component inputs, Reliability, price
Weaknesses: Universal Remote should be able to handle a DVD player, Sound amplifier should be more powerful
Summary: When I saw that Consumer Reports had this T.V. rated number 1, I had to see it.I had owned the Toshiba 24AF41 T.V. which was a excellent T.V.and sold it to my cousin who is also very happy with it. I had compared this 27" FST to those made by Sony and Panasonic. The Toshiba had a better picture and was a lot cheaper.Remember, when you go to buy a T.V., make sure the contrast is lowered to normal levels, as the factory sets them high to sell them easier. The Toshiba should be very reliable which is key in a 92lb T.V. I know most people hook their T.V.through their 6.1 Surround Receiver, but a T.V. should have more than a 5 watt/Channel Amp.You have to have the volume way high to even hear the dialog. Also since DVD players are very common, a universal remote should be able to control that device.
