All the buttons work perfectly. Weaknesses: Haven't seen any just yet. Summary: Would highly recommend for any serious canon photographer. It works even from 10 feet away. Weaknesses: None. Summary: Although advertised for use with the Canon G1 & G2 this remote is an accessory for the S1 too. And since I wanted to be able to shoot portraits without having to physically handle the camera this remote seemed like a good buy for me. Great also to browse the pictures from the camera if the camera is plugged onto the TV. Small and compact in a light but quite sturdy plastic casing. Weaknesses: None so far Summary: I would love to be able to turn the camera on and off w/ the remote. Also, I wish the remote came in a protective sleeve attached to a string that could be put around the neck. I also wish there were a button to take a picture instantly w/o any delays.
