Strengths: Works like a pro camera shooter. All the buttons work perfectly.
Weaknesses: Haven't seen any just yet.
Summary: Would highly recommend for any serious canon photographer. It works even from 10 feet away. It works in the sun and in the dark. The timer function on the remote also works wonderfully.

Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: WORKS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED IN LITERATURE. MAKES INCLUDING THE PHOTOGRAPHER IN THE PICTURE SIMPLE. WOULD CERTAINLY RECOMMEND TO OTHER USERS EVEN THOUGH THE PRINT ON REMOTE IS RATHER SMALL FOR OLDER EYES.

Weaknesses: I see no weakness.
Summary: I just got this remote but I have used it for a few timesand it works.I like it.When you place the battery in watch to put it in the right way :)The minus side should be up.It is a kind of small so be careful not to lose it.

Strengths: Works with Canon Powershot S1
Weaknesses: Nothing
Summary: I used before and lost it, that's why I bought a new one. The price of the product is too high but demand. I hope the prices will get lower.

3 Star ReviewAlthough advertised for use with the Canon G1 & G2 ...
Strengths: Works as advertised with the Canon S1 IS.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: Although advertised for use with the Canon G1 & G2 this remote is an accessory for the S1 too. And since I wanted to be able to shoot portraits without having to physically handle the camera this remote seemed like a good buy for me. As of today (day two) it works well and seems to meet my need.

Strengths: Works as advertised at a distance of 5 m. Great also to browse the pictures from the camera if the camera is plugged onto the TV. Small and compact in a light but quite sturdy plastic casing.
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: I would love to be able to turn the camera on and off w/ the remote. Also, I wish the remote came in a protective sleeve attached to a string that could be put around the neck.

I also wish there were a button to take a picture instantly w/o any delays.

I use that remote w/ a Canon G2.

It is true that the price is a tad on the high side.
