Strengths: Lots of screen space. Nice contrast and bright screen. Classy looking. Only need one graphics card to run it.
Weaknesses: Does not work with all video cards. Must have a high-end video graphics card to get the most out of this monitor.
Summary: I have, overall, been very impressed with this monitor. The graphic qualities are stunning. The monitor has a DVI port and a VGA port so you can use either one depending on what your computer has. It has one power cable and also has a USB cable that you must plug into your computer for the monitor to work.
One of the best things I like about this monitor is that even though there are 3 LCD screens, it only requires one VGA or DVI video cable to run from the monitor to your graphics card. Which frees you of having to buy 3 graphics cards to run video to the 3 LCDs.
This can also be a drawback if your graphics card isn't high enough resolution. I tried running a VGA cable from the monitor to my laptop, it didn't work. The graphics card in my laptop doesn't have the kind of resolution the monitor requires.
I have tried the monitor with an Apple Power Mac and it worked great. The graphics were stunning.
The seller of the monitor,(fsix.com) has a list of all the video cards that it is compatible with. So before buying this monitor, make sure your graphics card will work with it.
If you do have a compatible card, this monitor is very impressive, with stunning graphics and plenty of screen space.
From a video editing point of view, it works very well for editing. I tried using Final Cut Pro with it and I love the space it gives me.
This monitor is something that probably just about anyone could appreciate. As long as they have a graphics card that can handle it.
