Strengths: good speed has uplink port
Weaknesses: not gigabit ethernet
Summary: Excellent brand of networking products. I use two of these in my home network. I have done multiple LAN parties with it. I would highly reccomend it to people looking to setup a home network.

Strengths: Cheap, Reliable, Fast, and Plug-n-Play...
Weaknesses: None...
Summary: Well, what can be said, this thing is basically Plug-n-Play so you just plug it in and then connect everything to it. I use ALL LinkSys products in my home network and everything is completely smooth with no problems, and the ONLY time I need to 'reboot' is when Comcast hiccups. This is annoying, but basically the problem is at the ISP Provider level and has no bearing on the LAN itself since I can still network with no Internet access. This thing is on 24/7 and stays warm but never HOT, and basically connects my server to the router so always in use...

Strengths: Fast data transfer .
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Even though I noticed a higher increase in my broadband cable speed, at first it was hard to install all wires from my linksys router and from my router to my linksys switch even though I ran all wires from the CPs to my switch the same way I had it with my hub, it did not work and internet speed was less than a dial up at first, I then realized it had nothing to do with the switch, but the NIC with was not compartible since I had a Netgear card and did not work until I replaced ti with a linksys card and there you go at full speed of over 5000 kbps download and 800 kbps upload.

2 Star ReviewFirmware Issues
Strengths: Small package
Weaknesses: Firmware, Unreliable
Summary: Well, this is one product from Linksys I would not purchase again. I needed a couple of small switches to deploy several workstations, so I got about 5~6 of these and immidiatly I ran into problems. These switches failed to communicate with the Cisco switches. Then I got them to work, but after about 2 mounths they failed again and would not transfer data higher than 10kbps. At that point I tosed them away and got the SD205 models. All problems were solved! I should mention that these swithes were running 24/7/365, but still a very unreliable product.

Don't buy this switch get SD205 model instead! Same size, better performance, reliability, but maybe a little more expensive.

Strengths: Works, Name Brand, 10/100mps, Small, No Problems
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I have had this for over a year and it works great. There has been no problems except when it get hit by lightning. Although it get hit by lightning, most ports still work, but at 10mps. Although it only works at 10mps now, it still works. Just to note, when this happens, the port lights flash on and off and you have to manualy set your NIC to run at 10mps. Overall, No Problems!
