Strengths: Price
Weaknesses: Too easy to change audio options when changing volume
Summary: The KDC-138 is an updated version of the KDC-135 and is functionally virtually identical. The front panel now has a more robust 4 way switch on the RHS instead of the flimsy joystick of the previous model, and the SRC button that doubles as the off is now nearer to the driver on the LHS of the display. Unfortunately it is still far too easy to indavertently push the left hand dial while trying to adjust volume and end up in the audio setup menus. The KDC-138 has a pleasant sound and is a good entry level car CD player.
