Strengths: Cool design, small and slim to fit into your Dockers pants !!! Great movie mode with audio capabilities.

Weaknesses: Under par performance for any night scene shot. Cost more on the Memory Stick compare with others format. Pricey for a non-zoom digicam. Manual setting very limited.

Summary: Overall this is a excellent model in terms of Cool Design & Great Movie mode with recording time lasting as long as your Memory Stick allowed. It's slim, small & light to fit in your Khaki pants or baggy jeans. You could sling it over your neck with one of those mobile-phones neck strap. A design that could win an award but sadly not for its performance. Go for it if your main priority is COOL DESIGN, SLIM & LIGHT and you will not be dissapointed by the investment on Sony P3.

In the short time I have owned this camera I have ...

Strengths: Small size with sleek all metal case. Lithium battery with “time remaining” indicator. Also has a “space remaining” indicator for the memory stick. Comes with in-camera battery charger. Will focus in lower light than many digital cameras.

Weaknesses: Absolutely NO optical zoom. Has a 3x digital zoom which is guaranteed to make your snapshots appear grainy if you enlarge the prints to a reasonable size no matter how high the resolution. Has a twilight mode which is useless unless you have a tripod with

Summary: In the short time I have owned this camera I have taken over 100 test pictures. The puny 8-MB memory stick provided will only let you take about 5 or 6 high res pics. Takes short movies (which include audio). Hi res snapshot enlargements are reasonable if you DO NOT use the zoom.

For Sony to sell a digi-cam in this price range with NO OPTICAL ZOOM is unconscionable. I regret the purchase.
