Picture quality is good (not great) and of course it would be nicer to have a bigger screen -- but you get what you pay for. This is a solid unit that should get the job done. My only real complaint is the way they setup the charging -- you need to uninstall the battery to directly power the unit. While that isn't usually a big deal, the battery is secured with a screw making it a hassle to remove. Overall, I am happy with the purchase and would recommend this piece for someone looking for an entry level portable DVD player. 75% of People (6/8) found this review helpful. The unit read all the discs we pplayed on it. It stopped working in about 2 months, but that could be because of our 2 year old daugther using it. 67% of People (2/3) found this review helpful. Other people give it fair reviews, so I ordered mine through buy.com. My DVDs come either from public library or from friends' collection. I tried several disks already, and so far only one is not read very well. The player is good looking and really easy to use. You don't have to read the instructions at all. Portable multi region player Strengths: It is multi-region so I can play both PAL and NTSC format Weaknesses: No removable battery Summary: This is the first portable DVD player I have owned, and I purchased it to use for a long car trip. It worked great and the 8.5" screen is plenty big enough to view a movie. The DVD player comes with two sets of headphones and a car adapter.
