Strengths: Great size for the kitchen
Weaknesses: more power would be great
Summary: 2007-02-26 18:50:20 I would get this for a small apartment. It is little small, but adequate for my place. Great product for the price. It is not as good as my old one, but it will do. (I will update after more use)

Update:

Works great, the sensor cooking is awesome.

Strengths: Sensor function. spacious and very intuitive.
Weaknesses: None I've found so far. Only thing I've noticed is the beverage feature does not heat beverages adequately but that a non-issue to me (I can wait for 30 extra seconds)
Summary: Its sensor function is great, takes the guess work out of cooking. I've found it really useful. It is pretty spacious and adequately powerful. I've cooked rice and popcorn so far, this microwave cooks it to perfection.

Strengths: easy LED instruction to setup clock when you first plug it in. excellent size for counter top microwave oven.
Weaknesses: none
Summary: perfect size for a small family of 6. Love the feature of Instant Action ( hot water, beverage, rolls/muffins). The SENSOR feature is awsome, no need to figure out how many minutes to cook. My last Sharp microwave is 11 year old and still working, this new Sharp will is worthed to upgrade.

3 Star ReviewLooks good; Heats the dishes more than the food
Strengths: Heavy; Presence of sensor, light inside, pop corn setting and 4 defrost setting and 6 food heat settings
Weaknesses: Dishes are very hot more than the food
Summary: Its been 1 month since I got this microwave oven. Looks nice and heavy. I didn't like the color much - looks like my old wall mount Air conditioner. But the front view is good and I warmed soup, chicken curry using sensor and it works great. I use to take 2 mins to boil hot water. Now with sharp it just took only 39 sec and I can hear bubbling sound and I have switch it off. I could see few spills of water- that means water was over-heated.

Very powerful!

However, I cooked rice (with 3 times of water)and with sensor it was totally uncooked with its sensor time of 15 mins. I have to keep yet another 15 mins for the rice to cook. Acc. to the manual it says to cook rice with 2 times of water. But microwave cooked rice is mostly like a seed when added with 2 times of water.

The dishes get very hot more than the food/contents inside. By looking at the dish, I thought the soup is super hot, but guess what - soup is mild hot and have to definitely warm again.

Called the Sharp CS rep, he asked me to reset by plugging off the switch for >15 mins and plug in. Seems to be working fine. If it continues like that I have to take it to a nearby sharp authorised dealer and give it for check/repair. it may take upto 24 hours - 72 hours for their check-up. Until that time, I have to be without a microwave oven. Waste of time and imagine being without MWO for a day or 2.

Seems to be working fine now after resetting for the last 4 days.

Strengths: Powerful, sensor heating
Weaknesses: None so far
Summary: Bought this for $50 and it is amazing for the price. 1.2 cubic feet, 1200 watts. My favorite part is the sensor heating and sensor reheat function. Used it on a microwave dinner and it was perfect. Also used it to re-heat leftovers and they were perfect as well.

Strengths: Large size, quiet and look nice, easy to operate.
Weaknesses: None.
Summary: I got this microwave for my new appartment. It is large enough to fit 2 reg 5in bowl of soup in there. I got it for half of the regular price was on sale. For $55, I very much satisfy with the size and price.

Strengths: Large, food sensor, pre-programmed options
Weaknesses: A little heavy (over 35 lb)
Summary: I purchased this microwave from Bestbuy.com for 50$

I am very pleased with the purchase so far. The microwave is very spacious, especially for the price. It has pre-programmed button for common things like popcorn. It also has a 3-stage defrosting system for quick and easy defrosting of frozen foods (meat).

The food sensor automatically chooses from one of 11 different power levels for whatever you are heating. It also has a "keep warm" feature to keep your food warm for up to 30 minutes after cooking/heating.

Loving it so far, highly recommended. No problems so far. Very easy to use interface.
