Polar IrDA device for heart-rate monitor.
Strengths: It works.
Weaknesses: Touchy connection. bulky size.
Summary: This IrDA device seems to be the only device that works with Polar heart rate monitors, and that's the only reason I bought it. It's bulky compare to other IrDA adaptors, which are usually the size of a keychain jump drive, but it does have a very long USB cord for desktop use.
The connection is good when it's working, but it's very touchy. You must point it at the heart rate monitor steadily and directly, the range is limited.
If you have a Polar heart rate monitor, then you have no choice to use this. If you just need an IrDA device, then you should look for other cheaper and better alternatives.
