Strengths: Good features
Weaknesses: Poor range
Summary: I purchaced these GMRS-1535 radios from Walmart for $59.00. They quoted 1.8 watts of power on high and a 5 mile range. Compared them to my Motorola FR50 radios with.5 watts,side by side both started breaking up in rolling woods @.6 miles by GPS. I expected more range with 1.8 watts . In the air @1200 feet flying the gmrs-1535 went 12.7 miles. The Motorola FR50 went 13.0 miles, this was by GPS. I returned the radios for a full refund the next day.
