Strengths: Super easy install.
Weaknesses: A simple 5 cent lens cover would insure privacy and a clean lens.
Summary: Super easy install. Read the package, install the software then plug in the camera. I'm running Windows 2000 pro. It would have been nice if Intel had included a lens cover to keep the lens clean and insure privacy for the user. Image is clean and clear and what I'd expect from a $40 camera (that's what I paid at Staples). I had a cheap camera that would not work under W2K. Kinda disappointing. I put more money into this camera and expect it to work on any machine and OS I put it on including my (other) 98 computer and XP laptop.

Strengths: Easy installation.
Weaknesses: Very fuzzy image. Installation CD doesn't include some drivers needed for Windows 98.
Summary: Intel had the potential to create a great low priced quick cam but failed to foresee simple technical problems such as drivers for users with older OS.
