Strengths: Plays DVD, CD, CDR, MP3- Does not skip or freeze.
Weaknesses: Remote has no power/eject button.
Summary: 2002-08-06 21:50:38 I purchased this Kenwood because it was on sale for $129 at 6ave.com. (retails over $200) the playback of DVD's is flawless, as it plays even scratched discs perfectly. The audio and video are excellent. The lack of power/eject buttons on the remote is a bit annoying however minor in the grand scheme. It also does not have a Dolby digital decoder built in, although it is of course Dolby Digital ready. So far I am satisfied with this unit, I just hope it is reliable over time. It has a 1 year parts and labor warranty from Kenwood.
