Strengths: survivable stable bulletproof reliable and silent
Weaknesses: its not a gamers computer you will not be able to run big grafic games such as 3d games very well (but first person shooter seem to work fine)
Summary: i work for the moose lodge as both the computer admin and the teacher of the computer classes these machines can take a hit every day this group of kids comes in and sits there and uses IMs for hours play obscene unliscened games that they "just found" off a website i come in and these machines have hundreds of spyware and viruses i am amazed that these machines have survived like that for anyone whom would need a good word processing computer or internet surfing computer this is the one plus free montior!

Strengths: speed, ease of use, came with everything i need
Weaknesses: so far, none. customer service is a joke. seems like going from windows 98 133chip to this Dell is like going from old toyota to new caddilac.
Summary: I purchased this directly from Dell s website. The deal was

p4 computer system with free flat screen 15" monitor, i upgraded to 80G hard drive, 3.5" floppy drive and added memory. also got the excel. ect software upgrade package for college students in family. all in all

the deal was extremely good. $539.95

and all upgrades were less than $100.00

I spent $639.95 total !!! seems the website varys widely from time to time. i originally saw same system for $499.95

and by the time i got it ordered it was @ $539.95.

still very good deal. WHATEVER you do dont 'have' to call to get help or CHANGE your order. you will likely be talking to min wage phone answerers who's primary language is

not english. not that i care or it mattters that in itself BUT tyring to get them to help YOU is difficult. seems that they have to read off a script for whatever you ask, that becomes the problem. I had to call back 4 x to change an order. I originally ordered and the N E X T day sale was on for $499.95. instead of letting me change order to get sale price I had to go through the rigamorole of cancelling and reordering. its worse than this but i have to let it go at that. You should get the point by now.

BOTTOM LINE, SURF DELL WEBSITE WEEKS AND WEEKS UNTIL YOU SEE HOW THEY OPERATE, WHEN THE GOOD DEAL COMES "JUMP ON IT"

Strengths: well known brand, reliable, and excellent customer services
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: I ordered my unit from Dell, w/ upgraded 17" LCD for extra $50, the unit showed up on my house 3 days later, up and running in no time, all parts are there...one thing that caused me to contact Dell customer service is there are dust particle that stucked and covered all one side of the computer...i contacted them to find out, and the result is see whether or not i can wipe them off w/ a damp towel, if not Dell will send a replacement...and they're apologized..

Strengths: Looks okay. Many upgradeable options.
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: I ordered this sytem from Dell in December 2004. I ugraded it to 512 MB, 17" LCD, 80 GB, DVD ROM + CD-RW. Came out to be 620, which was a little too much. I got it for my father and he likes it much. A lot faster than his ancient E-Machines. The monitor is not the best; movies appear a little dark and fuzzy. It's okay for basic needs.

Strengths: Highly configurable; excellent warranty and support coverage; great keyboard with well-designed audio controls.
Weaknesses: No AGP
Summary: It's a configurable and well-supported budget PC, but the Dell Dimension 3000 trails eMachines in terms of performance and features. Students, small offices, and those on a budget.
