Strengths: sharp and clear pictures
Weaknesses: none so far
Summary: 2007-12-07 14:18:31 I bought this SONY LCD TV to replace my old tube TV. Picture quality is simply superior. It comes with ASTC digital tuner, which means you can watch HD signals from basic cable service or over the air without an additional box. The LCD TV also can be used as a computer monitor, which certainly is a plus feature.

Strengths: LCD TV and Monitor
Weaknesses: not so bright
Summary: This SONY 32" lcd TV has three view mode(brightness): vivid, normal, theatre. Vivid is the brightest mode. Yet, it is not bright enough if you'd like to have a little light on while watching TV. The more expensive and new model XBR may solve the problem. Overall, the quality is very good.

Strengths: Sleek appearance
Superb picture quality, brightness and clarity
2 HDMI inputs
Weaknesses: Price is higher than other brand
1-yr warranty only
Summary: 2008-02-22 09:28:55 Although the price is higher than other brands, I'm happy that I picked up Sony as my first LCD TV. We mount the TV to the wall and it's easy. The setup and on-screen menu are very easy too. The picture is Sony quality - bright and sharp, fantastic color(it's as good as the Panasonic Plasma we have in living room, if not better). It also has plenty of inputs for HDMI, component, PC so I can connect my cable, HTPC, Wii, xbox, DVD player and VCR to it all at once.

Strengths: HD picture is great. Lots of inputs.
Weaknesses: Dark color contrast
Summary: Like a lot of cheapr LCD's, don't expect too much contrast for the darker colors. If you want better dark colors, go with a Plasma.
Anyway, for the price I paid, this was a great purchase. Not the best Sony TV out there, but well worth the money. And there are plenty of inputs for all your digital peripherals.
Audio wasn't great, but I rarely used it anyway as I have it hooked up to a surround sound system.

Strengths: Sleek appearance and well constructed. Picture quality is superb.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: This SONY BRAVIA LCD Television is more expensive than those of its competitors for the same sized. However, the extra cost is well worth it as close inspection reveals its better design and contours that are pleasing to the eye. The picture is extremely clear and the remote control unit is easy to use. A useful tool is that you can download and print, from the manufacturer website, the technical drawing which shows the exact measurements of the television for the different parts and from the different angles - back, front, and the support base - so you can visualize and plan your space before making the actual purchase.

Strengths: Simple setup with the many included diagrams (I'm not a techie).
Weaknesses: I haven't found anything wrong with the product
Summary: This is my first voyage into the world of LCD's and Sony now has a new fan. The product stands up to it's excellent reviews and everything was up and running in less than an hour.

Strengths: 2500:1 contrast ratio/QAM/2 HDMI inputs/Light Sensor-2/Sleek, elegant style (not piano black shiny finish)
Weaknesses: 1080i HDMI
Summary: Superb picture quality and contrast (2500:1) for the price (I paid $720s including tax). Menu is intuitive and easy to control. A simple remote control. A sleek elegant style, unlike shiny black piano finish like other TVs, pleasing and easy to the eye. The only minus point is its HDMI is 1080i not 1080p. But for the screen size (32"), the difference may be nominal.

Strengths: beautiful picture, many inputs, easy to set-up, good computer monitor
Weaknesses: lag in switching channels - though that seems to be typical for HDTV and this one is quicker than some
Summary: 2008-05-17 09:27:11 I wanted HDTV especially for the local HD broadcasting but didn't want to waste time shopping. I've been happy with a conventional 24" Sony TV so when this one appeared for $760+tax at a local Circuit City, I bought it. The picture is fantastic. Reception on my regular TV was often marginal but it is usually excellent with this TV using the same "rabbit ears". It has much better contrast than the economy brands so the blacks look good. You apparently need RGB cables for using a progressive DVD player but interlaced mode with regular cables looks very good.
I am most pleasantly surprised by the computer connection using regular VGA for the picture and a regular mini-plug for sound (not HDMI). The screen is recognized by both Windows XP and Ubuntu linux. Text is easy to read and big enough that an old guy like me can edit without glasses. You could easily use this TV as a big computer monitor.
6 month update: TV working fine. Circuit City's price protection saved me another $40. I am happy with HDTV from local stations over the 'rabbit ears' antenna and regular DVDs. The computer VGA link works great for streaming Netflix 'instant viewing'. This TV looks good even when it's off.

Strengths: Affordable Sony LCD HDTV
Weaknesses: none
Summary: 2007-11-22 06:50:59 This is an affordable excellence BRAVIA HDTV from Sony, the outstanding performance from the top of the line right down to where it all starts - M-Series. M-Series HDTVs have just the right amount of features, style and performance to make them a great entry level choice. The resolution is 1366x768, not the highest, but enough for HDTV.

Strengths: Sony's brand name, terrific picture and clarity, competitive price, easy to set up
Weaknesses: I had trouble programming this unit for digital channels, remote is bare minimum, sound is average
Summary: Overall I think this is a great tv. When I compared it at the store, I think I liked the picture better than most of the other brands there. It is well built and you can trust the Sony name.
I did have trouble with the Auto Program. I picked up 10 digital channels (with the cable off) the first time, but since then I have not been able to retrieve any digital channels. I have no idea why, but I think I will have to buy an antenna now. That's my only real gripe.

Strengths: HD content looks amazing.
No noticeable ghosting with games.
Aesthetically pleasing.
Weaknesses: Anything 480i/p looks subpar(SDTV/Wii/Xbox/PS2)with the exception of up-converted DVD's.
Speakers are tinny.
Summary: I don't watch too much TV, but I only have a coaxial connection and the picture quality is downright horrible.
HD content however is simply stunning. When I watched my first Blu-Ray I was too busy ogling the quality to pay attention to the movie itself. Playing games on the PS3 is equally as impressive.
The speakers are definitely lacking but if you have a home theater setup it doesn't really matter.
Overall I love this TV and would recommend it if you're looking for an affordable HDTV.
