Strengths: Handset Speakerphone Headset jack 900 MHZ (doesn't interfere w/wireless computer network) well-laid out buttons Wall mountable (unlike some Panasonic 2.4 Ghz phones) Great battery life
Weaknesses: Absolutely none.
Summary: I've researched standard family telephones for 2 years. I love Panasonic phones in general, but was very unhappy with the 2.4 Ghz phone/answerer I bought last Christmas; it couldn't be mounted on the kitchen wall, the "digital, clear" signal always seemed filled with static. And of course, with all 2.4 Ghz phones, the microwave totally interfered with the signal.

Anyway, this is the best phone I've found after researching Consumer Reports, numerous online resources and perusing stores for the past 2 years. The speakerphone on the handset is great; I was on hold this morning but didn't have to loiter over the base unit. My daughter and wife both stood around the handset (in the living room, not at the base station!) talking to relatives on Christmas morning. The signal mostly clear, in any case much, much clearer than the 2.4 Ghz phone. The phone is finally wall-mountable - yes, the expensive $200 2.4 Ghz phone I got last year could not be wall mounted!

A great phone. Great Panasonic quality and features with ease of use. Try www.Pricegrabber.com to track pricing. Got mine at Goodguys.com for around $85 or so.

Strengths: I like the speakerphone on the handset
Weaknesses: Stopped working
Summary: I purchased this phone and liked the speakerphone on the handset. It worked well until the battery stopped charging. I have since purchased two batteries which only worked for a very short time and have since replaced the phone. I did buy another Panasonic, but had the same problem with that phone too. Will probably not purchase a Panasonic again.

Strengths: Plenty of features, nice design
Weaknesses: Sudden battery discharge, sometimes noisy
Summary: For the first two month, it was the best phone I ever had. It got sometimes noisy with sudden electrical sounds though.

The worst thing happened after about two months: after being fully charged, the battery suddenly appears fully discharged so phone was beeping, flashing and become silent in the middle of important conversation.

That was not something I expected form Panasonic. Luckily, I have purchased it from The Bay (Toronto, ON), so I was able to return no problem.

I could just get unlucky with this particular phone, but my friends had the same problem with expensive 2.4 Ghz Panasonic. I don't think I will ever buy this brand again.
