3 Star ReviewLogitech cordless Keyboard and mouse
Strengths: Cheap price
Weaknesses: Mouse is NOT optical - keyboard is a little flimsy and the key touch feedback is not as good as the normal wired logitech keyboards
Summary: 2006-04-26 00:06:45 When I first ordered this keyboard and mouse combo, I was thinking the mouse was optical. I came to know that it was an ordinary ball operated mouse only after I opened the pack. If I knew this before I would have ordered another Microsoft combo in the same pricegrabber website which had a optical mouse and was even a dollar less. I was under the impression logitech I/O devices are better. We are so used to optical mouse technology that it never striked me that it has to be mentioned explicitly on the package that the mouse was optical.

BTW the keyboard has encryption facility for the data transmitted between the keyboard and computer. Really good if you use the keyboard in a public place and login to secure websites like banks, etc.

But the keyboard is very light. First time I see a logitech product a little flimsy. The mouse ball is really disgusting.

If u want optical mouse, I recommend microsoft (have seen the keyboard with one of my friends) - keyboard is sturdier. BTW I should mention that microsoft keyboard is just a bit bigger than the logitech keyboard (the palm rest comes moulded with the keyboard - u cant remove it like logitech) If u intend to carry it around it might be of a slight concern.

3 Star ReviewNot a bad deal
Strengths: Cordless freedom at low cost
Weaknesses: Wheel mouse and wireless transmitter
Summary: This is not a bad deal considering the fact that it comes at a low price so that it is easily affordable in the first place. It avoids damage to laptop keyboard which will be usually delicate and cost a lot to get replaced. I hate the touchpad and to type in the small keyboard in the laptop. The only drawback of this deal is the mouse which is outdated technology of using the wheel. It is a little less responsive than optical one. But at the end of the day it is worth its price easily.

Strengths: Easy to install hardware Software automatically installs all needed drivers Good character spacing on the keyboard Mouse does not need a mouse pad to operate
Weaknesses: None that I could see.
Summary: This product worked out of the box exactly as advertised. After installing the included software. I was able to easily configure the function keys on the keyboard.

The layout of the keyboard is very friendly. I am able to touch type notes into a word document without looking at the keyboard.

The keys have a very soft but firm feel.

3 Star ReviewI like the soft keys
Strengths: Soft keys, lightweight, easy setup
Weaknesses: no optical mouse
Summary: I bought this keyboard on clearance because I wanted to start using a full keyboard instead of typing on my laptop. I'm very picky about the way the keys feel. This is my second logitech keyboard but the first with a usb connection. Overall, I'm pleased with the keyboard. I'm not even going to bother with the mouse as I love using either optical or laser mice.
