Strengths: High optical zoom, fantastic best shot mode, affordable
Weaknesses: Non of I know off so far.
Summary: Very good for some research biologist (like me) who does not know much about photography, but still be able to shot high quality close up (macro view) of biology samples at low price.

Strengths: Very easy setup and operation.
Weaknesses: Small viewing screen.
Summary: This is one great little camera. Easy operation with great picture results. Compatible with my HP1000 printer. I picked this camera up for $199.00 the day after Thanksgiving. What a bargain and what a camera.

Strengths: Amazing quality and the zoom is ridiculous. With a 128 MB media card I can store up to 980 photos. It has all of the fancy filters of Sony's expensive cameras.
Weaknesses: My only complaint is that there is no viewfinder, just an LCD, which makes night shots more of a guess than anything else.
Summary: This camera is fantastic. It combines all of the features of the expensive digital cameras on the market for a reasonable price. I can't say enough about the zoom. 8x optical in conjunction with 4x digital makes for a useful and enteraining tool. It has best shot auto sets to adjust the aperatures and shutter speeds automatically or you can do it all manually. The only complaint I had was the lack of an optical viewfinder which makes night shots difficult. Regarding downloading photos... the 2.1 MP I have found to be just the right size, I can set the photos to be anywhere from 800-200K whereas the higher MP cameras leave you with multiple MB files. This camera is easy to use, but there are enough functions to keep a photo-savy individual busy.

Strengths: I have compared this camera to many others. It outperforms and is more versatile than those in its price range. It takes excellent pictures, even 8x10's, without being grainy, fuzzy or blurry.
Weaknesses: It has so many features, it takes a little time to learn them all.
Summary: I was one of the first to purchase this camera because it had so many features for such a reasonable price. When I received it, I was amazed that it was compact, very well designed, and technologically advanced when compared with other cameras in its price range. As far as storage is concerned, it is capable of expansion up to 1 gigabyte microdrive or compact flash, which means that you will never have to worry about it becoming obsolete or impractical. Many cannot take high-resolution images for fear of running out of space on their memory cards. But I ALWAYS have room to take only the best shots with this camera.
