 Bought this up to use a server and a PC on a newly ... Strengths: easy setup,strong signal
Weaknesses: expensive,sometimes drop off connections
Summary: Bought this up to use a server and a PC on a newly installed cable modem using only the single IP address supplied with the modem. So far this router has been faithfully serving two computers for about 6 months now. Generally speaking, this unit is stable. However, it has a tendency to drop your connection randomly from time to time in the span of a few weeks.But when i check it and reset it, it will resume its speed and work normaly. I rate this product 3 stars just for this reason.

Strengths: Good connection
Weaknesses: I spent about 30 minutes to ste it up,until I finally called tech support and they recomended to download an installer from the web site.
Summary: I wanted to network 2 desktops and a laptop last summer. Got the wireless/internet router, 1 USB wireless NIC and 1 PC Card NIC. Ran Cat-5 cable from the base desktop to the router, plugged the USB NIC in the other desktop (a hallway away), and the PC Card in the laptop (on another floor). Once the network was setup (a Microsoft thing), and changing the PC Card to Infrastructure, I was up and running. Took about 1-2 hours to configure everything including installing Microsoft Networking. Router has been a dream only needing to be reset once due to a random power error on my part. Throughput of 11mbps on the PC Card at all times (even switching between laptops and OS's). USB NIC varies some put proper placement yields 11mbps.
Upgrade firmware only if youhave problems! Remember to set PC Card to Infrastructure. USB NIC requires no adjustment.

Strengths: high quality
Weaknesses: no
Summary: I bought it a couple months ago, but I seldom use it right now. It's an old fashion now since it's only 802.11b, but at that time, I use it everyday. and it can also works as an access point. That's great. I like it.

Weaknesses: Performes Bad
Summary: The 2 antena didnt help me a bit. The range was not that great, i wasnt even able to connect outside my room. Speeds that i did get in the room were painfully slow. These days you can get a wireless G for the same price any way so i suggest you look into those. It is not worth the headache to save at most $5.

 not good product. Strengths: price after rebate
Weaknesses: Doesn't work at my home at all.
Summary: I really don't like this one. Although it is easy to set up and install, I cannot get signal in the next room at all. After its failure to work, I tried a Belkin router, and it worked just fine. So I cannot say any good word on this product. Sleeping in the storage room now.

Strengths: Pretty easy to set up, secure wireless connections, 4 wired connections as well
Weaknesses: Doesn't handle all wireless standards (only B)
Summary: This is a good router at a very good price that you can use to connect both your desktop PC and a laptop with a secure wireless connection to be able to share an internet connection, share files etc. It has an easy-to-use user interface where you can change pretty much anything, including how if/how secure you want your wireless connections to be. I havn't had any problems with it so far. I would've wished that there was a power button on the back of the router, but... Otherwise a nice product.

Strengths: this a great product, very easy to set up. range and speed is excellent. it is like having a wired network. has a lot of options and security options: WEP is very easy to set up. i would recommend this product to anyone.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: Took all of 20 minutes to get 2 laptops(1XP & 1 Win2000) and 1 destop (XP) up and running and on the net simultatneously.....really. Just follow directions precisely. 1 laptop is my work PC and goes through a VPN....not one problem. Range is an issue on my top floors, but I've got the router in my basement (3 floors in house) so I'll try to move it to the middle floor next. Freedom of mobility was worth the price.

Strengths: Good singnal strength
Weaknesses: Disconnect some time.
Summary: This is a very good wireless router. I used it for more than 2 months and I find the wireless singal is very strong. The only weak is some time I have to restart it because the tranfer rate became very slow. I don't why. Maybe it caused by my PC.

Strengths: Excellent range, reliability, and value.
Weaknesses: Wireless "B" is becoming outdated. The standard now is "G."
Summary: I've had no problems with this Linksys router. Set up was easy, and it has provided reliable wireless internet connection. The price was amazing, free after rebates. I highly recommend this router, however if you can get a "G" version that would be better.

Summary: I would like to recommend this router to you if you live in a small apartment like me.Strong signals and good connection, the product brings me all what i expect.Plus its free after rebate price, i could say nothing but satisfy my choice to this router.No idea how it functions in big houses, somebody points out that there would be weak spots and connections.Anyhow,my limited room will always secure its performace.i like this router will buy it again if needed.

Summary: I got a good deal on this router with a rebate. Although it is a slower "b" (vs. "g') router, it is plenty fast for me connecting multiple computers with DSL. Tried to used a 2nd one of these as a bridge to my ReplayTV, but was unsuccessful.

Strengths: Good signal strength, painless install.
Weaknesses: Did not work correctly until newest firmware was installed.
Summary: When I first hooked up this router, I couldn't believe how easy it was to set up a wireless network. Within 10 minutes, all my wireless devices were hooked up. I did, however, have connection issues with one device, but this was resolved using a quick firmware update.

Summary: Very good router, Easy to setup, it took lessthan 15 minutes for setup whole thing
It has better reception and range , nice looking with two antennas. I am using for fast 2 weeks never needed to reboot.
