Strengths: Dependable.
Have had no CD brand compatibility issues.
Great digital audio extraction [DAE] rate (10X)-- better than my Creative 52X CD-ROM (which only pulls a 8X DAE).
Weaknesses: none so far. ...wish I had two!
Summary: A very quiet CD-RW, esp. when acting as a CD-ROM. My Creative 52X CD-ROM is so much louder. I now put discs into the Samsung CD-RW for software installation. Good manual. Great price. Have tested discs using Nero CD Speed [vers. 0.85 Beta]... have used 7 different CD media brands. No data errors after burning at high speeds. Is able to read a few scratched discs that my Creative has problems with. More drive info.
