Strengths: Intuitive, rapid learning curve. No crashes.

Weaknesses: Cannot burn DVD or CD-R direct from product

Summary: I read all the reviews and went for this. I didn't want to make the mistake of buying a professional product and getting lost (although I may eventually go there when I know what I'm doing).

Studio 7 installed easily and quickly on an HP Brio system with a PIII 866 and 386 meg RAM. It has a 5400 rpm drive but this has proved to be no problems. I installed a no name IEEE 1394 (firewire) card. My camcorder is a Sony TRV30. I have had absolutely no problems and have enjoyed the editing process. The company offers online software extensions which I am considering. My only complaint is that the program does not allow me to burn a CD-R or DVD-r (when I eventually get one). For this you have to buy Pinnacle Express which is reasonably priced.

This is a terrific product.
