Strengths: Front Panel AUX input, professionally-looking front panel (when all the markee is turned off), plays all MP3 CDs that are playable elswhere, smart flipping faceplate. Excellent value for its price
Weaknesses: No way to change the display color (the buttons may be illuminated with blue or red), no volume knob (only up and down buttons), too distracting display, no satellite radio in.
Summary: This unit is easy to operate, and at $185 is the best value in its price range. The front panel is less fancy than in the rest of the receivers, and looks as a home HiFi with brushed aluminum lower panel, which was attractive for me. It has an aux in on front panel, where you can plug tape or any other device with 2.5mm jack. The display is blinking more like in a cheap boombox, and it takes some effort to find how to turn the light effects off. But once it is off, it provides a clear readable text information. Produces excellent sound and you can equalize the volume of sound sources (FM, CD, AUX). It plays all MP3s with no skips, but you have to remember to close the CD after burning and do not try to record 4x media at 12x speed - I.e. know how to burn your CDs. You can set 50kHz or 200kHz FM synthesizer for FM (useful outside of US). You can use an included IR remote to control the playback from steering wheel or give it to rear seats passengers. An excellent buy for economy user.
