Summary: I bought these with the expectation that they were basically going to be as good as it gets as fare as binoculars go. I will say that they are fantastic but, unless you are a binocular aficionado with extra disposable income, the difference in optics between these and a good $300 pair of binoculars is not Herculean, with the exception of the image stabilization (IS) feature. The I.S. feature does work very well. The only comment that I could make to someone who has not used this type of devise before, and is not necessarily a bad one, is that when viewing an image while the I.S. is activated, the image has a very slight fluid or "convection" like movement to it, barely detectable. I would liken it to looking an object far away on a hot day where the rising heat will slightly distort the image. But in this case, it is barely detectable, and I assume a byproduct of the gyros counter acting your movements. Overall this is a "winner" but keep you expectations reasonable when considering the exponential cost increase relative to a high quality pair of normal binoculars.
