Strengths: Awesome sound quality, great power from its subwoofer
Weaknesses: no S-Video on the receiver and it doens't play MP3
Summary: I have been in the market for about a year. I love all of Sony's products because of their reliability and quality. I tested and researched Bose, JBL, JVC and all other comparable products none of which compare to this model. It has all the capabilites of all and more. Is really an excellent system and for the price it defenetly beats the competition. I love the style, the great sound and also its easy to understand manual. Now I can go to the movies in my living room without having to go to the Theatre.

Strengths: Complete package, affordable price, Sony quality, DTS, good manual.
Weaknesses: No S-Video inputs on receiver, a lower profile center channel speaker would look better on top of my TV.
Summary: How did I live without this great movie theater sound?? Who knows, but now that I have it I enjoy every minute of it. This system is great if you are starting out and have no DVD player. It comes with everything you need to get the most out of your DVDs. I bought Gladiator, Fast and the Furious both in DTS and it rocks. Even when I watch regular stereo TV, it really makes the show come alive.

I was a bit surprised how detailed the manual was that came with the receiver, it had quite a bit of information, not just on how to operate the system, but on the best way to position your speakers for great surround sound.

The remotes are adequate, but don't help in reducing my remotes to one.

Overall bang for the buck, I don't think your going to find a better system.

Strengths: Beautifull sound and style.
Weaknesses: doesn't play MP3s.
Summary: This system has a great sound and the woofer sounds great. I did a great amount of research and this is the best sytem for the money. It feels like going to the movies, But does not play MP3, which is a little minus.

Strengths: beautifull the gray colour matches perfectly the tv
Weaknesses: hard to set up it's to much stuff for a regular custumers product...
Summary:

well do like me.I went toBEST BUY to try all the models the sony was running for 650 dollars after taxes.so I went back to my house and looked up on internet for the best deal.I got it for 500 dollars after taxes and shipping...............and I love the product the sound is perfect..
