My main application is spoken word. Adequate level of audio for small groups of people. Weaknesses: NOT PRETTY. No volume control ON SPEAKER system. Summary: Removable STANDARD AA battery powering system is handy for those on the go a lot away from power outlets. I have a very small handy universal charger handling four AA cells that works without fuss worldwide. This portable speaker system is better than having a special non-removable dedicated battery system. With a supply of charged STANDARD AA batteries system works OK indefinitely.
