Strengths: Extremely quiet and energy efficient. Automatic setting of water levels. Built-in water heater to assure accurate temperatures. Excellent selection of wash settings -- including one for wool.
Weaknesses: Other than the expense, none so far.
Summary: 2006-05-05 18:04:10 We replaced a 26 year old Maytag top loader to get higher capacity and more efficient use of power and water. It was clear watching the first load that this machine uses a fraction of the water used by our old top loader. After four months of useage, I can confirm a drop in our water useage of 15 to 20% and our energy bill is lower as well. And I can't believe how quiet it is compared to our old machine.

I love the fact that this machine senses the size of each load and adjusts the water levels accordingly. No guess-work involved. The pre-set wash settings automatically select water temperatures and speed of the spin cycle. These are easily changed to customize a particular load. The automatic dispensers for detergent, bleach, and fabric softener all work flawlessly. We have done many loads since installation, using Normal, Active Wear, Delicate/Hand Wash and the Wool setting for the first machine-wash of my Merino wool bicycle jerseys (with beautiful results). I love this machine! The pedestal is a useful accessory and I recommend it - as much for the added height as for the storage it provides.

A nice added touch was the included DVD instructions for use. This machine is expensive, but it is an outstanding product which I heartily recommend. I will revisit this review if I have any negative experiences. So far, after four months, it is perfect.

Strengths: Very quiet. Easy to use. Built in Water heater. Wool setting.
Weaknesses: Price and machine is heavy to move and level.
Summary: So far, we are very happy with our purchase. It cleans and works well, and uses little water. We only hope it last as long as the Magtag it replaced.

Strengths: Being that there is no aggitator in the center, you clothes are not beaten. I had left a tissue in my pocket once and it came out fluffy and in one piece looking softer than it went in, and not torn.
Weaknesses: The only thinkg that I do not like is with the pedistal the area where the detergent is put in is on the top, making it hard to reach for shorter people.
Summary: In short this is a great washer and the dryer is just as good. I would recommend this washer to anyone. This washer cleans clothing really well, and the differnt cycles are wonderful for the different types of materials.

Strengths: great cleaning, gentle with clothes, low water usage
Weaknesses: expense
Summary: I replaced a top loader with this front loader. I was told vibration could be a problem but with proper setup this is much quieter than the old washer. It cleans well and uses much less water. The clothes are not wrinkled and appear to be handled much more gently. The size is great allowing much bigger loads and can handle a king size comforter. The new HE detergent required is less volume and the bottle easier to carry. I am very pleased with this washer.

Strengths: Intuitive and easy to use control panel
Weaknesses: The washer is very heavy to move. Need to user HS detergent.
Summary: Like what they have advertised, this washer is a water saver. It only uses 1/3 of the water my old one did for regular wash. It is relatively quiet. One thing to keep in mind that you need to use HS detergent for the washer. That is something I didn't know until the minute I want to use the washer.

Strengths: Many different settings, no agitator, drier clothes, energy efficient, very quiet, alerts when finished, add-a-garment setting, this list goes on and on
Weaknesses: NONE
Summary: I have seen and read a lot of reviews about this washer. The common thread is some fussing about odor and losing items in the washer. The manual that comes with it plainly suggests that you leave the door open a little bit to let the washer air out and that you use a garment bag to wash small items. I have had no problems from following these suggestions. The HE detergent is a must. This is a great washer and I did 4 loads in 4 hours with my matching dryer (9250). I love this set and I am so glad I bought them.
