 Dangerous Hardware Strengths: Lots of cables powered by cheap components
Weaknesses: Bad design + cheap components causes unit to fail taking attached drives and memory with it.
Summary: I too was seduced by the cheap price and published specs. Mwave.com does disclaim the validy of any published specs so it is Logisys' fault that the unit fails poorly to live up to its promises. Supply was installed in working system as an upgrade and operated exactly six hours before the +12 rail suddenly stopped working and took out three hard drives as it went. No Big Bang - just a spike big enough to kill the controller cards on the drives. So, at best, I get $21 back (minus the return shipping = $11) and get to replace, reformat, and reload three drives. This makes it a VERY EXPENSIVE POWER SUPPLY...

 lousy power supply Strengths: PCI express
Weaknesses: low quality, small fans
Summary: Are you ready for this? DO NOT BUY this damn power supply took out my brand new 2GB memory with it on the 2nd day. Freaking cheap, should have thought twice about buying this but i still fell for its low price and PCI Express. The light weight alone should have told me that but oh shucks. hope you dont fall for it like i did.

Strengths: Cords are wrapped in nice synthetic material, allowing easy placement. Fan is light plastic - quiet. Has at least 5 peripheral connectors + 2x SATA pow. + 2x PCIe-card pow. sockets. The hull is fine.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: 550 watt only, good if you're planning to put in 1x HD4870 or 2 smaller GeForce cards (1 power / card). Not good if you're trying to cross-fire 2 HD4870, not enough power, and you might be too greedy.

Strengths: powerful & can run sli. quiet too. the fans work as CPU exhaust! lowering the power needed to run the computer. Excessive Heat= power drain
Weaknesses: as others have noted, not the best metal used on box. But it is inside the comp, who cares? it doesn't rattle. lol
Summary: The guys that have had parts break and gave a bad review, It's called check your connections before you install!

Strengths: Solid power, ample connectors, low price.
Weaknesses: Not Antec power supply quality.
Summary: Three (3) used, all operate as expected, no problems. Would buy more to replace any 200w+ power supply from the past. It is second choice for a new system with gamer video nvidia 8800+ but first choice for no-fan nvidia video and systems that do not require the extra power headroom of extreme gaming boxes.

Strengths: Low price, solid power, good connectors, ample connections.
Weaknesses: Unknown quality. I cannot predict how long the supply will last. It is not Antec quality.
Summary: I bought three (3) and installed one in Europe and two in Utah. In all cases, the power supply improved the system, both in reliability and convenience of connection to existing hardware. I'll buy two more this month. I would recommend it for older systems that used 350W power supplies and new core 2 duo systems with gigbyte MB, Corsair 2gb memory, WD ESATA, no-fan nvidia video.

Strengths: Quite, solid clean power. SLI. Wrapped cables
25A 12V rail
Weaknesses: cheap box but who cares
Summary: I am an electrical engineer and I bought 2 of these. I have both of the originals running dual core machines with x1950 Pro video cards. These have been running for about a year. They are still quite. This supply really doesnt have enough power to run a 8800 Nvidia video card.

fake power supply
Strengths: nice packaging (don't fall for it)
Weaknesses: poor electronic design! shorted out my hard drive...sigh
Summary: Unless the manufacturer can explain to me how come this power supply took out my newly purchased hard drive, i am filing a complaint. Package was very nice but what is that worth to me when the product is of low quality?
