Strengths: Great picture, easy to set up, good bang for the buck!
Weaknesses: Still needs to be tweaked in for sound after one week of use.
Summary: Shopping for an affordable HDTV to replace an 18 year old 25" TV console, I spotted an Office Depot ad in the Sunday newspaper that fit the bill. Called various Office Depots in the Milwaukee area and asked one store to put it on hold. Arrived at the store and before finalizing the sale, took a comparison look at other display models. Could not keep my eyes off the Viewsonic. The other TV's displayed had washed out colors compared to the Viewsonic N2635W. I could even view the picture from an extreme side angle, not witnessed on the the TV's. Ended up buying the Viewsonic, and took it home to set up, which turned out very easy. Attached a rabbit ear antenna to the Viewsonic, turned the TV on, went to the setup menu, scanned TV stations which took about 3 minutes, and captured 14 digital channels. Played with the other settings and had the TV ready to view in less than 30 minutes.
The sound quality is the only thing I am taking time to get used to. I am thinking that this is dependent on the broadcast signal instead of the TV itself. There is a wide range of choices to make on the Viewsonic, such as equalizer settings, and automatic audio levels. When watching sports, the sound is different when compared to watching a DVD movie. I find myself playing with the audio settings more than I want to.
Overall this Viewsonic 26" HDTV is a great value for the money.
