Strengths: Bright clear Picture with Great Color. Easy Setup, plus the HD Picture with Componenet HD for DVD or HDTV is great
Weaknesses: Does Not work With Dishnetwork Remotes
Summary: THis TV is worth the little more then your Bargin Basement deals. This Philips unit take advantage of it Parent Company and uses one of the clearest glass I have seen on any small LCD TVs

1 Star ReviewBuy a different set - not worth it...craps out after 6 months...
Strengths: low price...but you get what you pay for
Weaknesses: everything
Summary: this set was on sale at the local home depot - totally a spontaneous purchase. we needed a small set in the kitchen for morning news, kids programs and the like.

the picture was never to my liking, but then again i paid so little...i didn't think much about it.

about six months later the whole television is unviewable - the picture is totally ghosted out.

say the money and put it towards a better more reliable brand.

1 Star ReviewMagnavox 15MF605T/17
Strengths: Built-in stand and nice picture...at least at the store.
Weaknesses: Didn't work out of the box (tried it on 3 cable connections). Not even OSD worked...which is sad.
Summary: I ended up calling tech-support who who told me to return it or I could send it back to Magnavox for a 4-6 week turnaround...are they crazy? Bought it at Super Target for $299.00 today and will return it tomorrow and buy a better brand. Purchased for a TV in the kitchen.

1 Star ReviewDOA
Strengths: Nice design includes wall mount
Weaknesses: Did not work out of the box!
Summary: Paid $289 at Best Buy. Took it out of the box plugged it in and nothing happened. I'll bring it back tomorrow. I also purchased the extended warranty for 40 bucks. That would have protected me for 4 years.

Strengths: TV has lots of features
Weaknesses: TV does not have digital tuner - 2 years from obsolescence
Summary: This TV is mostly unusable without remote. Most new TVs are made that way today. Remote is not lighted. It has Sleep, Picture, Sound, Format, PIP, CC, SAP Jump, and Source function buttons making changes very easy. All of these functions are available thru the Menu function, but it is mentally challenging that way.

A lot of inputs - PC VGA/Audio, S-Video, Component/Audio, Composite/audio

Headphone output in rear. Why not in front?

PIP works in PC mode only and has 4 window sizes available.

Auto channel set is picky about signal quality and it did not preset all available off the air channels. Adding weak channels must be done thru a Menu function.

Sound is sufficient but not outstanding. Sound function has 3 content presets plus a surround setting. Picture has 5 content presets. Both can also be set to Personal which allows setting all parameters to your desire - bass, treble, color, brightness, contrast, sharpness. Tint is always settable separately.

Resolution is 1024 x 768 - response time is 16ms. This is not clear on a lot of sites. When viewing closer than 3 feet it is easy to see loss of detail on moving objects. Non-moving objects are sharp and clear. Too high color setting accentuated this. My personal picture settings are:

bright 60; color 50; contrast 43; sharpness 19; tint 77

Note that I have not tried HD content yet so TV is running at 1/2 its capabilities with 480i input and doesn't produce its best picture.

For the price it is a good buy.

Strengths: computer monitor conection. speakers aren't bad
Weaknesses: still looking to find one
Summary: I got one unit. It worked great. Went back and got two more due to great sale ($150 ea.).

All three have worked perfect. That's all I can tell you. Have owned them about six months and couldn't be happier.

Strengths: Perfect size with nice features
Weaknesses: None so far...
Summary: I purchased this 15" LCD to be used in the Kitchen. It is the perfect size and fits nice on the counter. Many input options for both analog and HDTV signals.

Strengths: lots of features, great for kitchen use (which is why we bought it)
Weaknesses: haven't found any yet.
Summary: easily converts from table mount to wall mount, just by flipping base. Stereo sound, multiple selections for video. Bright picture, easy setup (at least w/o going thru the digital cable converter box). We also have the 32" widescreen that is just like the 15", with a few extras, and are happy with both.
