Strengths: XBrite Screen! Wide Screen, great for movie Fast Centrio 1.7GHz 1x512mb RAM Very small and light weight Battery life is great
Weaknesses: FAN!!! IT'S SO LOUD!!
Summary: 2004-12-31 15:48:48 I just got this lovely notebook. It's one of the best notebooks I've used. built quality is great, much better than sony V series, which was replaced by this S series. Screen is so beautiful. Battery life is great, I got about 4 hours with highest brightness setting and WIFI on.

The only downside is the fan! It's so loud and will be a little annoying in quiet room.

Strengths: This is an absolutely fabulous laptop that comes with everything, as is noted on this site. One feature I especially like is the newest Pentium processor, which is exceptionally fast.
Weaknesses: The main weakness is that it is somewhat heavy or, at least, heavier than the Dell 700s.
Summary: I would definitely suggest this computer for purchase, as Sony VAIO laptops are among the best in the biz. I like its design, its features, and nearly everything about it. I cannot think of any real problems I've had with it, other than it is a bit heavier than the Dell 700, which I noted above (but I believe it has a larger screen).
