1 Star ReviewThis oven sucks... another similar experience.
Strengths: NA
Weaknesses: OVEN DOES NOT WORK!
Summary: I've also had this oven "fixed" 5 times since oven was not able to reach adequate cooking temperature and eventually cooled off. This oven definitely has design errors. Whirlpool tech line kept saying something about how certain pipes had very "narrow" tolerance and had to be exactly perpendicular etc so on and needed to be "tweaked" to fix it. The last 5 times, they also replaced every single component in the oven and started "tweaking" this pipe and that pipe. Every time, the oven still does not work. I understand normally whirlpool makes good oven but this oven is NO GOOD. DO NOT BUY!!!!

1 Star ReviewGW395LEPS - WHIRLPOOL GOLD
Strengths: COOKS WELL WHEN IT WORKS EASY TO CLEAN
Weaknesses: NA
Summary: i HAVE HAD THIS OVEN FOR APPROXIMATELY 13 MONTHS AND HAVE HAD TO HAVE A TECHNICIAN REPAIR IT 5 TIMES!!! THEY HAVE REPLACED EVERTYTHING INCLUDING THE CIRCUIT BOARD.

THE OVEN HAS NOW STOPPED WORKING AGAIN - JUST ONE MONTH AFTER THE WARRANTY HAS EXPIRED.

I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANOTHER WHIRPOOL OVEN (OR WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT) AGAIN.

1 Star ReviewNothing but trouble
Strengths: Cooktop works
Weaknesses: Many repairs that are not real fixes
Summary: This has been a nightmare. Temperature spikes to way over 500, then drops to a cold oven. Servicemen keep replacing the same part. Now the part I need is backordered and I've been without an oven for FIVE WEEKS. Recommendation: Stay away from this model in particular. Get a range that has knobs--avoid electronics.

1 Star ReviewExtremely Unhappy!
Strengths: Looks good
Weaknesses: Faulty control panel that costs almost $500!!!! to repair
Summary: I purchased this range in February 2006. I don't use the oven much, but when I do, I want it to work. Here it is three days before Christmas and the repair guy just told me he has to replace the ENTIRE front panel (which, of course, he doesn't have on the truck!) Price without labor

1 Star ReviewNever buy a Whirlpool gas range
Strengths: None
Weaknesses: Everything!
Summary: I have been trying to get this oven fixed for over a year. I have had three different companies work on this oven and no one can get it to work correctly. When baking at 325 oven shifts to broil and goes up to 575 degrees setting off my smoke detectors and ruining my cakes. I have had the part replaced that detects temperature twice, control panel and front button panel. Now they say that they want to replace the same parts again because there is nothing else to try. I will never buy from Whirlpool again. I have received no response from Whirlpool. This unit is an Extreme fire hazzard!

1 Star Reviewnever buy a whirlpool gas range!
Strengths: stovetop has been reliable
Weaknesses: everything else has been terrible
Summary: Like other posters here, I have had my Whirlpool gas range serviced 4-5 times. The customer service is TERRIBLE: when the first problem occurred, the range was still under warranty (less than a year old). But by the time the service technician came over, the range was over a year old and so Whirlpool would not cover the problem under our warranty. Astonishing! The main problems have been the oven not lighting consistently, and the electronic control panel cutting out - which makes the oven unusable. Phoning customer service often results in waiting about 2 weeks for a technician - during which time the range is unusable. Whirlpool seems to take no responsibility at all for selling expensive appliances that don't work, and will be a nightmare for any customers.

As I wrote in the title - never buy a whirlpool gas range!
