Strengths: great picture, no humming, great value Weaknesses: anti reflex coating is screen only ok. Summary: First of all the picture is excellent!!. I did a lot of research comparing 720p to 1080p, and from 8-10 feet viewing distabce there is no difference. Not to mention that only w Blu Ray would you see 1080p and no one broadcasts it. I have Time Warner HD cable and HD looks amazing. SD channels look decent and are scled to fit. I had to configure my dvd player to get it to show any black bars on widescreen movies. Bought it at Bestbuy w pricematch from sears sale ($999) (April 6 2008). TV gets very hot (surface of screen), but I have been told that is during break in period (first 200 hrs). The anti reflex coating, which is one of the improvements from model 5054, is only ok. Comes with nice swivel stand. Nice remote.Speakers have no bass. Was this review helpful or unhelpful for you?
