Strengths: lots of features including wireless/1394/card reader/camera/mic etc
The build looks fine, better than average toshiba.
Weaknesses: poor keyboard - almost feels like you are typing on a calculator
Summary: As an entry level portable, this laptop gets its job done pretty well. All components are well selected for the market position of this machine. You don't get top-of-the-line hardware, which would be too expensive; but still you get everything (the memory maybe a little shy for vista, I upgraded to 2GB, but 1GB is OK) you will need for all your jobs. Pentium dual core, 160GB hard drive, DVD burner, just name a few. The only thing I want to complain is the flimsy keyboard, which has almost no response especially if you got used to those on thinkpad. The screen is sharp, and colorful if you look from the front, but if you just change a small angle, the color changes a lot - not a big problem for me, but this may annoy some other people.
